Continuando l'espansione delle sue famose crociere di arricchimento di più lunga durata Carnival Journeys, Carnival Splendor offrirà un'avventura di 14 giorni in Alaska da Long Beach, in California, con siti maestosi come il maestoso ghiacciaio Hubbard e una Icy Strait Point, un'area selvaggia incontaminata che offre alcuni dei migliori avvistamenti di balene e orsi dello stato e la teleferica più lunga del mondo.
Il viaggio partirà da Long Beach e il 25 agosto e tornerà l'8 settembre 2018.
Oltre a un'intera giornata al ghiacciaio Hubbard e Icy Strait Point, la crociera di 14 giorni includerà le spettacolari destinazioni di Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau e Sitka, in Alaska, insieme a uno scalo di un giorno a Victoria, British Columbia.
Oltre a opportunità culturali uniche e monumenti storici, ognuna di queste destinazioni offre meraviglie naturali maestose, tra cui ghiacciai in fase di distacco, magnifici fiordi e vita marina e animale nativa. Sarà inoltre disponibile un'ampia varietà di escursioni a terra, dal volo in elicottero e tour nella foresta pluviale, alle escursioni, alle spedizioni in canoa e in kayak e allo snorkeling sul lago alpino.
The 14-day Carnival Journeys Alaska cruise will also feature unique on-board experiences where guests can enjoy local cuisine, entertainment and cultural opportunities within the various ports of call. Activities focusing topics such as photography, cooking and arts and crafts and a 1980s-themed “Throwback Sea Day” will be offered, as well.
The 14-day Carnival Splendor cruise complements the line’s wide-ranging Alaska schedule that includes a two-week-long voyage round-trip from Long Beach aboard Carnival Miracle in September 2017 and 38 seven- and eight-day voyages aboard Carnival Legend in summer and fall 2017-18. Several of the seven-day cruises feature a day cruising Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
